To help broaden public awareness about fake check scams, the United States Postal Service has recently begun running TV ads. For more info, see http://www.fakechecks.org/

Scammers always use free email addresses (like Yahoo! Mail). If you've received a suspicious email using a Yahoo! Mail address, please forward it to abuse@yahoo.com and Yahoo! will quickly terminate the account.
